Man Shot by Police in Blaine Charged with 6 Felonies

A Minneapolis man was charged Friday with six felonies after being shot by Coon Rapids police.

Lamar Allen Sullivan-Armstrong, 29, is charged in Anoka County with aggravated robbery burglary, assault and assault against a police officer.

Judge Denies Reduced Bail for Suspected Mastermind of Multi-Million Dollar Scheme

A Ramsey County judge refused to lower bail Friday for a woman accused of organizing a multi-million dollar fraud scheme.

Thirty-three-year-old Yasmin Abdulle Ali, of Fridley, is being held in Ramsey County Jail on $750,000 bail.

Ali was charged in December after a 27-month investigation into public benefits fraud.

Charges: Anoka County Man Bought $5,000 Worth of Items with Stolen Credit Card

A Circle Pines man is accused of making more than $5,000 in purchases using a stolen credit card.

According to the criminal complaint, a man called the Ramsey Police Department and reported numerous credit card purchases that were made between Dec. 29, and Jan. 4. He said he didn’t authorize the purchases and provided a copy of his credit card statement to police.

Anoka Co. Man Charged with Terroristic Threats after Bethel Bar Confrontation

An Anoka County man has been charged after deputies responded to a confrontation at a bar.

Deputies were called to the Hydrant Bar in Bethel at 10:26 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, on a report of a man threatening people with a gun.

A Coon Rapids woman is accused of attacking her husband and choking him because he didn’t want to have sex with her.

Coon Rapids police were called to an apartment on the 9200 block of University Avenue Northwest around 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30. When officers arrived, they found a man standing in the hallway wearing pajama pants and no shirt.

2 Charged with Breaking into Vacant Anoka Co. House

Two people are facing charges after they were caught breaking into a vacant home that was up for sale.

Coon Rapids Convenience Store Robbed at Gunpoint

Coon Rapids Police are investigating an armed robbery Tuesday morning at a Coon Rapids convenience store, Capt. Jon Urquhart said.

The incident happened at 9:43 a.m. at Kathy's Dairy Home, 10490 Hanson Blvd. NW.

Police say a man with gun came into the store wearing a green army jacket and demanded money. He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
