MnDOT Rescinds Support of Anoka 'Quiet Zone'

Anoka residents will be hearing train whistles for a little while longer.

A “whistle-free” zone has been planned for the railroad crossing on Ferry Street and Fourth Avenue, both of which are north of Highway 10. Once the quiet zone has been established, most trains won’t sound their horns as they travel through Anoka.
